Media Services, the publisher of leading business magazine LMD, unveiled the top 20 line-up in its forthcoming LMD 100 annual edition with Hayleys retaining the lead, followed by John Keells Holdings (JKH) and LOLC Holdings.

The 33rd edition of Sri Lanka’s pioneering listed company rankings presents an encouraging picture of corporate performance in the financial year 2025/26. The 100 leading listed companies collectively recorded an increase of approximately 20% in revenue, signalling stronger business activity among key contributors to the national economy.

Hayleys secures the top spot for the third consecutive year with its consolidated revenue exceeding Rs. 585 billion, marking a 19% increase over the preceding financial year. JKH climbs from fifth to second place with a top line of nearly Rs. 529 billion – an increase of 67% – while LOLC Holdings occupies third position with revenue surpassing Rs. 429 billion, up 26%.

Commercial Bank of Ceylon (ComBank) advances three places to fourth with a consolidated revenue of over Rs. 365 billion, followed by Carson Cumberbatch in fifth position with nearly Rs. 349 billion. Bukit Darah, Hatton National Bank (HNB), Lanka IOC, CT Holdings, and Cargills (Ceylon) complete the top 10.

A spokesperson for Media Services said: “Against a backdrop of economic growth of nearly 5% in 2025 and inflation of around 5% during the latter part of financial year 2025/26, the increase points to an encouraging expansion in corporate revenues.”

However, the recovery remains fragile, with both domestic and external downside risks clouding the outlook.

The forthcoming LMD 100, scheduled for release in January 2027, will present the full rankings alongside an analysis of the financial performance of Sri Lanka’s leading listed companies.
