Globally celebrated stand-up comedian Russell Peters live in Colombo on 31 March

Globally celebrated and one of the most successful stand-up comedians in the world Russell Peters will perform live on 31 March 2026 at 6.00 p.m. at the Lumina ballroom at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The one-night-only performance in Sri Lanka is part of Russell’s latest “RELAX World Tour” and will bring his signature style of comedy to Colombo and enthral Sri Lankan audience with his sharp wit, cultural observations, and high-energy storytelling.

Audiences can expect an evening filled with Russell’s hilarious takes on everyday life, family dynamics, travel experiences, and cultural quirks that have made him a global comedy icon.

Russell will be performing in Sri Lanka after shows in New Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Shillong and Kolkata.

Russell joining the media launch virtually said he was excited to return to Sri Lanka and enthral fans after 13 years. “I know many years have gone by but I have always loved Sri Lanka and I love the people. I am genuinely excited to come back because I really have missed your beautiful island,” Russell told journalists.  

This landmark Colombo event of laughter, spontaneity, and unforgettable moments in Colombo is expected to attract a diverse audience comprising corporate leaders, professionals, expatriates, and comedy enthusiasts from across the country.

 It is one of the most anticipated international comedy events in Sri Lanka.

The Canadian born Russell began performing in Toronto in 1989 and won a Gemini Award in 2008. In 2013, he was number three on Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid comedians, and became the first comedian to get a Netflix stand-up special. He also won the Peabody Award and the International Emmy Award for Best Arts Programming for producing Hip-Hop Evolution (2016). He lives in Los Angeles.
