Global COVID-19 cases pass 4.15 million, death toll over 282,300

Reuters: More than 4.15 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 282,370 have died, according to a Reuters tally. 

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019. 

The following countries have reported most deaths so far.

United States – 79,526 

United Kingdom – 31,855 

Italy – 30,560 

Spain – 26,744 

France – 25,987 

Brazil – 11,123 

Belgium – 8,707 

Germany – 7,471 

Iran – 6,685 

Netherlands – 5,456 

China – 4,633 

Canada – 4,871 

Turkey – 3,786 

Sweden – 3,256 

Russia – 2,009
