Foreign investors in CSE pause 21-session selling streak

  • YTD net foreign outflow from CSE at Rs. 22.4 b

After a sustained 21-day selling streak, foreign investors in the Colombo stock market yesterday reversed course to emerge as net buyers.

The net foreign inflow amounted to

 Rs. 19.8 million. 

So far this month, foreign investors are net sellers with a net outflow of approximately Rs. 2.6 billion with the year-to-date (YTD) net outflow amounting to nearly Rs. 22.4 billion.

Year-to-date, the ASPI has gained a paltry 0.01% and the active S&P SL20 is down 1.06%. However, the ASPI was up 7.40% so far in April with the S&P SL20 gaining 5.39%.
