FitsAir has temporarily suspended its daily flights to Dubai.
The suspension was from 6 September and the budget carrier linked it to the evolving global situation and its impact across the Middle East.
"We currently expect to resume services by November 2026 subject to developments in the region," FitsAir added.
FitsAir began daily flights to Dubai in March 2023, having begun four times a week.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), in July 2026, Middle Eastern carriers saw a 9.5% year-on-year (YoY) decrease in demand.
Capacity fell 5.8% YoY, and the load factor was 80.9% (-3.3 percentage points compared to July 2025). The decline in traffic continues to moderate after the double-digit fall earlier in the year.
In October last year, FitsAir celebrated three years of passenger operations.
It successfully launched Kuala Lumpur as a new destination on its network, expanded frequencies to Malé and Dhaka in response to strong demand, and most recently secured approvals to undertake its own ground handling operations at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport. In June this year, it launched the Colombo-Ahmedabad service thrice a week.
