Fits Air expands reach with direct flight to Dhaka

Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd., announced yesterday that Fits Air is set to expand its wings with the introduction of direct flights between Colombo and Dhaka from today (17).

As the operator and facilitator of Sri Lanka’s airports, AASL welcomes Fits Air’s initiative to enhance regional connectivity with its inaugural flight from Colombo to Dhaka.

Currently, Fits Air operates flights to three destinations from Colombo, including Dubai, Chennai and the Maldives. With the addition of this new route, the airline’s network will expand to four destinations, significantly contributing to the growth of travel, trade and tourism between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Fits Air Executive Director Ammar Kassim expressed enthusiasm about the expansion.

“The Bangladesh economy is one of the fastest-growing in the world, and we’re excited to offer competitive prices for business travellers and visitors alike. We anticipate our non-stop service to Dhaka will stimulate bilateral trade and economic growth,” he said.
