The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka yesterday reminded the Ceylon Electricity Board to avoid any bonus and other payments for Financial Year 2022.
PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake referring to a previous letter sent on 9 August on Tariff Revision 2022, reiterated that the Commission strongly recommends to reduce costs by refraining from paying bonus or other ex gratia payments till CEB financial position improves.
“The Commission hereby reiterate and strongly recommend not to provide bonus and ex gratia payments for the financial year 2002,” he stated in a letter addressed to CEB Chief Nalinda Illangakoon yesterday.
