EDB says Export Sector to continue operations amidst curfew

The Export Development Board (EDB) yesterday assured that it will continue to facilitate operations of export industries so it remains uninterrupted during the quarantine curfew in the Western Province from Thursday 29 October to Monday 2 November.

In a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19 virus, the Export Sector have been advised to follow all the safety measures recommended by the health authorities during the curfew period and as per the ‘Guidelines on COVID-19, Preparedness for Workplaces’ dated 2 April by the Health Ministry. It was noted that safety precautions must be strictly implemented.

The EDB said it will continue to extend the required assistance to the export industries operations subject to health recommendations.
