EC to Gazette names of new MPs on Monday night

The Election Commission has written to General Secretaries of parties that obtained National List seats to send in their nominees by Monday. Only the SLPP, which won 17 of the 29 National List seats, has named its appointees to the bonus seats.

An EC official said the Gazette with the names of all MPs of the new Parliament will be issued on Monday night.

The SJB, with seven national list seats, had not finalised its list by last night.

The remaining five seats are divided among the UNP, NPP, ITAK, and two other parties. (CK)
