High net worth individual investor Dr. T. Senthilverl on Friday became the second largest shareholder of Amana Bank.
The move follows him buying 176.8 million shares at Rs. 3.80 each in a deal worth Rs. 672 million.
With the latest acquisition Dr. Senthilverl holds 10% stake. Previously he held 92.2 million shares bringing the total to 269.1 million.
The seller was foreign individual investor Hossain Ahmed Ismail who as at September 2021 held 9.99% stake.
The largest shareholder of Amana Bank is IB Growth Fund (Labuan) LLP.
Amana Bank on Friday closed at Rs. 4.30, up by 2.4% from the previous day.
