The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya as Chairman of the Strategy and Restructuring Committee of SriLankan Airlines.

Dr. Wijayasuriya, a prominent corporate leader with extensive experience in telecommunications and digital transformation, will head the Committee tasked with guiding the national carrier’s strategic direction and restructuring efforts.

The appointment comes as the Government continues initiatives aimed at improving the operational and financial performance of SriLankan Airlines, with a focus on strengthening the airline’s long-term sustainability and competitiveness.
