Alternative Sundays

In a world where metal heads class dubstep as their second favourite genre the organisers of Alternative Sundays B.P. and Red thought, since it’s happening at home, why not take a up a little dare and put all these artistes on one platform.

The result is three hours of complementing genres that’s almost as good as any bedroom action and an event that’s poised to be testament to the ‘acceptance factor at home.’ In case you were wondering about the name, as it suggests, it will be a series (monthly or perhaps even weekly in the near future, depending on demand to see home bands live).

For the first instalment of Alternative Sundays, the chosen artistes are already embedded in Sri Lankan music history – Unholy Sermon, Aural Discord, Duckdog, Helter Skelter And Circus Cult; trust them on this, ‘epic’ will be an understatement!   

Alternative Sundays happens on 26 February from 6.30 p.m. at Clancy’s.
