Chinese envoy meets Ranil

Ex-President Ranil Wickremesinghe met Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong in Colombo on Thursday.

The meeting, held at Wickremesinghe’s political office on Flower Road, took place at the request of the Chinese envoy. Discussions were centred on Sri Lanka’s political environment and wider international developments.

Ambassador Qi also met former President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the same day, shortly before Rajapaksa departed from his official residence at Wijerama in Colombo.
