Central Bank, State banks under Finance Ministry

Central Bank and State banks have been brought under the Ministry of Finance, according to the extraordinary gazette notification issued on Friday night.

Previously the Central Bank came under the Prime Minister’s Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs. As per the latest gazette notification, the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media has 48 institutions allocated under it, the largest number.
