CSE roadshows in Singapore, London in 2018

In a bid to trigger a fresh round of investor interest, the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has scheduled two major roadshows to Singapore and London in 2018, a top official said.

“We have scheduled one in Singapore on 1 March 2018. It is likely that we will have one in London towards the second half of the year,” CSE Chief Executive Officer Rajeeva Bandaranaike told the Daily FT.

He also said that CSE is being featured in a frontier markets conference in India along with Bangladesh in February.

In addition Bandaranike said stockbrokers who are engaged in foreign business would have their own road shows too. “So, it will be an active year,” he added.

As a market development attempt to gain the spotlight to the Colombo bourse, CSE conducted several successful roadshows in potential markets last year which included Australia, New Zealand, New York, London and Singapore. (CDS)
