CPC and LAUGFS revise fuel and gas prices

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) and LAUGFS Gas PLC yesterday announced revised prices.

Marking the first revision since 2024, LAUGFS Gas PLC yesterday announced that it has decided to increase its domestic liquefied petroleum (LP) gas cylinder prices effective midnight.

Accordingly, the price of a 12.5 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs. 420 to Rs. 4,100, while a 5 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs. 168 to Rs. 1,645.

LAUGFS is one of the two largest LP gas suppliers in the country.

Separately, the CEYPETCO also announced price revisions from midnight.

According to their price revision, petrol prices were reduced, though there will be no changes in Auto Diesel, Super Diesel and Kerosene prices.

As per the new prices, Petrol Octane 92 was reduced by Rs. 10 to Rs. 299 per litre and Petrol Octane 95 was reduced by Rs. 10 to Rs. 361 per litre.
