COVID-19 death toll nears 8,000 with 198 more fatalities

Health officials on Tuesday confirmed 198 more COVID-19 deaths, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 7,948.

The Epidemiology Unit states that 75.79% of the total fatalities are above 60, 23.19% between ages 30 and 59, and 1.02% below 30. The COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Tuesday consist of 146 persons above 60, 51 persons between ages 30 and 59, and one person below 30.

A total of 119 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were male and 79 were female. Of the total fatalities, 4,566 are male and 3,382 are female.
