Visiting Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) President John Graham met with Treasury Secretary Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma to discuss key initiatives aligned with the country’s economic priorities.
The discussions underscored CIMA’s continued commitment to advancing skills development, promoting inclusive growth, and supporting Sri Lanka’s sustainable economic recovery.
They also highlighted the increasingly strategic role of management accountants in today’s rapidly evolving business environment—not only in upholding strong governance, but in translating financial insight into decisions that drive resilience, long-term value, and broader societal impact.
The meeting was attended by senior representatives from CIMA, including Regional President Venkkat Ramanan FCMA (UK), CGMA; CIMA Sri Lanka Country Head Tharindu Wijewardana ACMA (UK), CGMA and CIMA Council Member Channa Gunawardena FCMA (UK), CGMA.
