All trade unions of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) began a work-to-rule campaign from midnight in protest against the planned restructuring and unresolved employee grievances.
Union representatives said the move was tied to 16 demands. These include objections to what they allege is an unlawful restructuring process that undermines employee interests, along with concerns over the absence of incentives and promotions.
