The holding of Government Securities by the Central Bank by Friday had crossed the Rs. 1.5 trillion mark for the first time.
The face value amounted to Rs. 1.547 trillion, up from Rs. 1.41 trillion, Wealth Trust Securities said.
It also said the total outstanding liquidity deficit increased during the week to register Rs. 543.37 billion by the end of the week against its previous weeks Rs. 459.93 billion
