Binod and Nirvana Chaudhary call on CBSL Chief

Nepalese billionaire investor Dr. Binod Chaudhary last week called on Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe to discuss the progress of his investments in Sri Lanka and explore future opportunities in the country’s financial services sector.

The discussions focused on Sri Lanka’s evolving economic landscape, investor confidence, and the potential for greater regional collaboration and private sector participation in financial services and related industries. Dr. Chaudhary reaffirmed his continued interest in Sri Lanka as a strategic investment destination in South Asia.

Union Bank Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody and Deputy Chairman Nirvana Chaudhary also participated in the meeting alongside Dr. Chaudhary. 

The engagement highlighted the importance of strengthening regional business partnerships and supporting Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic recovery and growth agenda.
