Bairaha goes for Rs. 1.3 b expansion

Bairaha Farms Group has announced plans for a Rs. 1.3 billion expansion.

It said the Board of Directors has approved an investment of Rs. 1.3 billion to increase the day broiler chick production by over 50% over three years.

This investment will be undertaken through Bairaha’s fully-owned subsidiary Siyane Farms Ltd.

During the first nine months of FY18, Group revenue was Rs. 3.17 billion, marginally down from Rs. 3.25 billion a year earlier. Pre-tax profit was down to Rs. 348.5 million from Rs. 664 million.
