BOC hands over Rs. 5 b dividend to Treasury

The Board of Directors of the Bank of Ceylon (BOC), has approved a dividend contribution of Rs. 5 billion to the General Treasury, its sole shareholder. This decision reflects the bank’s continued commitment to supporting the national economy, following its exceptional financial performance during the previous year. The official notice of this contribution was handed over to Treasury Secretary Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma by BOC Chairman Kavinda de Soysa. Deputy Secretary Treasury Dilip Silva, Director General of the Department of Public Enterprises Athula Kumara, BOC Russel Fonseka, and CFO Ruwan Kumara were also present.
