Asia Capital PLC yesterday announced plans to divest control of its stockbroking arm.
It said at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held on 21 July that it was resolved to dispose its 63.77% shareholding in ACAP Stock Brokers Ltd., to Cue Capital Ltd., subject to obtaining prior approval of the Securities Exchange Commission and Colombo Stock Exchange.
“The price is to be determined and informed post due diligence,” Asia Capital added.
The balance stake in the stockbroking firm is held by a subsidiary of Asia Capital.
