Aruni new Foreign Secy. 

Career diplomat Aruni Wijewardena has been appointed as the new Foreign Secretary. 

She replaces Jayantha Colombage who was appointed to the post in 2019.

She has served as a career diplomat with the Foreign Ministry.

She was a former ambassador of Sri Lanka to Austria from 2005 to 2007 and High Commissioner to Malaysia from 2000 to 2001.
