Minister Anura Karunathilaka
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Anura Karunathilaka as Energy Minister following the resignation of Kumara Jayakody amid allegations linked to a coal procurement scam.
Karunathilaka was sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday. He will continue to hold his existing portfolio as Ports and Civil Aviation Minister alongside the Energy Minister.
