Dawn of a new dimension from Muslim Choral Ensemble's collective of artistic expressions

On Sunday 1 June at 7 p.m., the Lionel Wendt Theatre will come alive as Muslim Choral Ensemble (MCE) presents An-Nur 2025, a landmark event, continuing their legacy of artistic excellence and spiritual expression.

More than just a performance, it marks the unveiling of a completely body of work, symbolising a bold step into uncharted musical and spiritual spaces.

For the first time in their nine-year history, MCE will not revisit familiar pieces from the past. Instead, they will embrace a new path shaped by creative freedom, and spiritual depth. This performance signals a turning point, as every note, every rhythm, and every harmony is born from within, crafted to stir the soul and uplift the spirit.

Rooted in sacred Islamic traditions yet enriched with contemporary expression, An-Nur 2025 reflects MCE’s continued evolution. It is more than a concert; it is a declaration of identity, purpose, and hope is a powerful vision of what lies ahead for the ensemble beyond 2025.

Why this leap? Why now? Because MCE believes the time has come to reveal a new dimension of their collective voice. Growth requires courage. And their mission to unite faiths, generations, and communities through artistic expression calls for renewal.

Since its founding in 2017, the Muslim Choral Ensemble has stood as a beacon of spiritual connection and cultural harmony. As South Asia’s first Muslim Choral Ensemble, MCE is committed to preserving the rich legacy of Islamic renditions while transforming it into a bridge across differences between traditions, people, and worlds.

“An-Nur 2025 is the embodiment of this vision. It is the result of nine years of dedicated work and unwavering love for their art.
