Ameena Shafi Mohin appointed Director General of Commerce

The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved appointing Ameena Shafi Mohin, the senior-most officer currently serving as the Director of Commerce, to function full time in the post of Director General at the Department of Commerce with immediate effect.

The decision comes as the position of Director General at the Department of Commerce, operating under the Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development Ministry remains vacant.

The proposal to this effect submitted by Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
