Adani meets President in New Delhi

Indian business tycoon Gautam Adani yesterday called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe who was on an official visit to New Delhi, India.

The meeting along with a picture was announced by Adani via his tweet. “Great Honour to have met H.E. President Ranil Wickremesinghe to discuss a fascinating set of projects in Sri Lanka including continued development of Colombo Port West Container Terminal, 500 MW wind project, and extending our renewal energy expertise to produce green Hydrogen,” Adani said in his tweet.

Adani via Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones (APSEZ) Ltd. in partnership with John Keells Holdings is building the Colombo West International Container Terminal costing $ 650 million.  In February this year Adani Green Energy Ltd., (AGEL) signed an agreement with the Board of Investment to set up two wind power plants with a combined generation of 350 MW in Mannar and Pooneryn costing $ 442 million.
