ACME Printing announces Rs. 1.4 b Rights Issue

ACME Printing & Packaging PLC yesterday announced a one-for-six Rights Issue to raise Rs. 1.4 billion via 570 million ordinary voting shares at Rs. 2.50 each.

The company said proceeds from the issue would be used to meet the cost of relocating factory premises, settle intercompany loans, repay bank borrowings, fund working capital requirements, and implement measures to prevent further losses and support recovery.

The firm’s stated capital stood at Rs. 835.1 million as of end-June 2025, with net asset per share at a negative Rs. 6.43.

The proposed Rights Issue is subject to approval from shareholders and the Colombo Stock Exchange.
