Four MPs have tested positive for COVID-19 as of yesterday, Serjeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando said.

SLPP Badulla District MP Janaka Tissa Kuttiarachchi, Hambantota Matale District MP Rohana Dissanayake, Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, and SJB Hambantota District MP Dilip Wedaarachchi have tested positive, he said. 

It was reported that Wedaarachchi had attended sessions for the last three days.

Three members of staff had also tested positive during the week. “All possible steps have been taken to prevent the spread of the disease in the Parliament complex,” he said.
