156 more COVID-19 fatalities raise country’s death toll to 5,620

Health officials on Wednesday confirmed 156 more COVID-19 fatalities, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 5,620.

The majority of the deaths confirmed on Wednesday are above the age of 60, with 121 deaths in this age group and 35 deaths in the 30-59 age group. The Epidemiology Unit states that 75.38% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over the age of 60, 23.48% are between ages 30 and 59, and 1.13% are below the age of 30. 87 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and 69 were female. Of the total fatalities, 3,266 are male and 2,354 are female.
