Tea Avenue Daily Brew officially opened on 26 September at 65E, Mirihana, Nugegoda, bringing together food, tea, coffee and a relaxed café environment designed for everything from a casual catch-up to a productive work session.
Operated by Hexora Ltd., as a Tea Avenue franchise, the outlet is part of the Tea Avenue brand associated with Empire Teas. The concept at Mirihana is built around a simple idea — a café should fit naturally into different parts of the day.
For some, that could mean starting the morning with breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee. For others, it might be lunch with colleagues, an afternoon coffee, an evening meal with friends or simply somewhere to spend a little time away from home or the office.
The menu reflects that flexibility, with breakfast options, sandwiches, pasta, burgers, loaded fries, waffles and desserts, alongside Tea Avenue’s selection of teas and coffees.
A place to meet, work and stay a little longer
A notable feature of the new Mirihana outlet is its dedicated six-seater meeting space, which comes equipped with a 50-inch screen and whiteboard.
Rather than creating a formal boardroom environment, the space is intended for smaller professional gatherings — including team discussions, client meetings, interviews, presentations, training sessions and work meetings.
It also offers an alternative for professionals who want to combine a meeting with Tea, coffee and food in a more relaxed setting.
The idea reflects how cafés have increasingly become multifunctional spaces, where people come not only to eat and drink but also to work, meet and spend time.
“We wanted this outlet to become more than somewhere people simply stop for a cup of tea. Mirihana is a neighbourhood where people live, work and spend a lot of their everyday time, so we wanted to create a space that could fit naturally into that routine — whether it’s breakfast, a meeting, a meal or simply catching up with someone,” says Hexora Ltd.,
Director Asanga Egodawela.
With its combination of food, beverages and flexible spaces, Tea Avenue Daily Brew Mirihana is positioned as a café for different occasions rather than a place built around just one.
The outlet is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 7:00 a.m. to midnight on weekends and holidays.
For Mirihana and the surrounding Nugegoda neighbourhood, it adds another option to the local café scene — one where a morning coffee, a business meeting, lunch with colleagues and an evening catch-up can all happen under the same roof.
