Cinnamon Life Colombo is transforming into a vibrant slice of the Italian Riviera as it hosts acclaimed Ligurian chef Alessandro Dentone for the 10th Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, from 22 to 29 November 2025 in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Colombo. 

The week’s festivities began with a spectacular Italian Week Brunch on 23 November, whilst an encore experience will be on 29 November.

A guardian of Liguria’s maritime culinary heritage, Chef Dentone descends from one of the region’s oldest fishing families. His craft, honed through decades of cooking in top hotels across Italy and abroad and further elevated through his appearances on leading Italian television programs celebrates the purity, elegance, and coastal character of Ligurian cuisine.

 “Cooking is my way of sharing the soul of Liguria,” he says. “Every dish carries the memory of the sea, the fragrance of our basil, and the warmth of our traditions.”

At Bistro de Marée, Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, Chef Dentone will offer a refined menu spotlighting Liguria’s most iconic flavours. Diners can expect reinterpretations of beloved Italian classics such as: Eggplant Parmigiana, reimagined with Chef Dentone’s signature finesse, layering tender aubergine with rich tomato and fresh basil; Risotto al Pesto Genovese, celebrating the vibrant green of Liguria’s world-famous basil pesto—creamy, fragrant and finished with artisanal burrata; Ligurian-Style Sea Bass, a dish deeply rooted in the region’s maritime identity, elevated with confit cherry tomatoes, pine nuts and olive powder.

And for the sweet-hearted, a timeless Italian finale: Classic Tiramisu, crafted in its most authentic form.

The Italian Week Brunch will further spotlight Liguria’s prized favourites—from airy focaccias to rustic vegetable pies and traditional sweet treats like the festive Pandolce Genovese—inviting guests to savour the depth and diversity of the region’s culinary soul.
