Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts unveils ‘Dine with DISCOVERY Dollars’ for Colombo

Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts has introduced Cinnamon DISCOVERY – Dine with DISCOVERY Dollars (D$), a new dining rewards program launching across Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, Cinnamon Red Colombo, and select outlets at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, from 1 October 2026.

For years, Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts has been part of how Colombo eats out, from long lunches to late dinners to the quiet ritual of a favourite Sunday brunch. Dine with D$ turns that familiarity into something guests can hold onto: a reward for the meals they have already chosen to have with the group, at the tables they already know well.

The program covers some of the city’s most familiar dining rooms and bars. At Cinnamon Grand Colombo, that includes The London Grill, one of Colombo’s oldest fine dining establishments, alongside Plates, The Lagoon, and Nuga Gama, as well as Breeze Bar and Cheers Pub. At Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, guests can dine at The Dining Room and Royal Thai, or settle in at ColomBar and The Library. Cinnamon Red Colombo pairs all-day dining at Flavoured with evenings at Stirred and the rooftop Cloud Red. At City of Dreams Sri Lanka, the program extends to select outlets, among them Quizine, Staten Bar and Grill, Bistro Des Marees, Yoroko, Sapphire Dragon, Indiya, Cloud Wine, and Gatz.

Signing up takes little more than a QR code, scanned at any participating restaurant or bar, and DISCOVERY Dollars begin accruing from a guest’s very first visit. Once earned, they can be spent with equal ease at any other outlet in the program. Membership itself is structured around four tiers, set by annual spend. Silver members receive a 15% benefit on food and beverages, rising to 20% at Gold, 25% at Platinum, and 30% at Titanium.

The introduction of Dine with D$ forms part of Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts’ wider focus on strengthening its position within Colombo’s dining landscape and building a community around food, experiences and discovery.

The program is supported by Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts’ membership of Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), through GHA DISCOVERY, the global loyalty program of the alliance. Cinnamon joined GHA in 2025, bringing its portfolio of hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives into a global network of independent hotel brands. Through GHA DISCOVERY, members can earn and redeem DISCOVERY Dollars across participating properties within the alliance.
