Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo is set to bring together two of Asia’s most iconic culinary traditions at its upcoming Thai-Chinese Food Festival, taking place from 25 to 27 July, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Hosted across Long Feng, Royal Thai, and the Pool Terrace, the festival will feature a diverse buffet, curated by Executive Chef Ashan Liyanage and the culinary team, and complemented by live entertainment each evening.

The event offers a unique opportunity to experience authentic Thai and Chinese dishes, prepared using traditional techniques and presented with a modern flair. Guests can look forward to a carefully selected variety of starters, mains, and desserts, as well as live stations and a grill bar.

The buffet will offer a diverse blend of Thai and Chinese flavours, thoughtfully curated to highlight the best of both culinary traditions. Guests can begin their experience with a selection of light and refreshing salads, with live action at the papaya and mango salad station adding both freshness and flair.

A dim sum corner will provide a range of steamed favourites, while a noodle soup bar offers customisable bowls with a choice of broths, proteins, and fresh vegetables—bringing an interactive element to the evening.

The main spread will feature a variety of familiar favourites and regional specialities, from fragrant curries and stir-fries to delicately balanced noodle and rice dishes. At the grill bar, diners can choose from an assortment of meats and seafood, grilled to order and served with a selection of house-made sauces, offering a vibrant finish to the culinary journey.

To round off the evening, the dessert counter will offer a selection of traditional Thai and Chinese sweets. Highlights include tropical favourites like mango sticky rice and banana in warm coconut milk, alongside delicacies such as mung bean tarts and pumpkin custard. A variety of ice creams, paired with regional condiments, will provide a cool and indulgent finish to the meal.
