The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday revealed the revised composition of the Milanka Price Index (MPI) for the period July 1 to 31 December, 2011.
New inclusions are Aitken Spence PLC, Ceylon Grain Elevators PLC, Laugfs Gas PLC, Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC, Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC, The Colombo Fort Land and Building Co. PLC and The Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC.
Exclusions from the first half MPI composition were Asian Hotels and Properties PLC, Chemical Industries (Colombo) PLC, Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, DFCC Bank, Galadari Hotels (Lanka) PLC, National Development Bank PLC and Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC.
The composition of the companies in the Milanka Price Index with effect from 1 July 2011 is as follows:
