Union Assurance: Only Lankan finalist at Asia Insurance Awards 2012

Union Assurance is the only Sri Lankan insurance company to be shortlisted at the 16th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2012, held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 43 industry players from across Asia have emerged as finalists out of the 800 entries received for the 14 categories. Only those submissions that were deemed to be of a high standard by the judging panel make it to the list of finalists.

“We had some 800 entries in all. Several of the entries were astounding in capturing the spirit of moving forward amidst the odds, of going beyond the call of duty, of responding to the dire needs of many and of standing tall in peace of giving back to society and most importantly of boosting the image of insurance,” said Sivam Subramaniam, Editor-in-Chief, Asia Insurance Review.

Launched jointly by Asia Insurance Review and The Review Worldwide in 1997 to recognise and salute excellence in the insurance industry, the annual Asia Insurance Industry Awards have become a much coveted and prestigious endorsement by peers in the industry, and are among the highlights of the insurance calendar.
