Two new directors on Union Assurance Board

Two new directors have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Union Assurance Plc with effect from 16 August.

They are Dilani C. Alagaratnam and Suresh Rajendra, both representing major shareholder John Keells Holdings which owns an 85% stake.

Alagaratnam is President, Group HR, Legal and Secretarial whilst Rajendra is President of JKH with overall responsibility for the property sector The appointments were in place of two directors Ronnie Peiris and Krishan Balendra resigning. The UAL Board now comprises Ajith Gunawardene (Chairman), A.K. Gunaratnem, A. De Zoysa, G. de Saram, D.C. Alagaratnam and S. Rajendra.
