Sri Lankan company designs and manufactures innovative self service banking machines

81A Sri Lankan company designs and manufactures a range of high-tech, innovative, self service banking machines, to automate banking process. They launched a series of their innovative banking machines recently in Colombo, which will turn a new page in the Sri Lankan banking automation industry.

Innovative thinking and manufacturing of technically advanced products will drive a country in the development path. This is proven by many developed countries in the world and Sri Lanka has to manufacture technically advanced, high value added products to achieve its development goals.

East Link Engineering Company Ltd. Founder and CEO Ajith Indikadulle explained about their innovations and products. A Chartered Engineer by profession Ajith Indikadulle and his team at East Link group design and manufacture many types of self service products including banking automation products in Sri Lanka.

Ajith Indikadulle who graduated in Engineering from University of Moratuwa with years of overseas and local experience, further explained about their company and innovations. 

East Link group started in 1998 as a data communication company, and today has grown to one of the leading engineering companies in Sri Lanka with ultra modern manufacturing plant with hi tech CNC machines and robots.

Cheque Deposit Kiosk (CDK) enables customers to deposit the cheques to the Kiosk, 24 hrs x7 days and provide the customer, a printed acknowledgement receipt with scanned images of deposited cheques. We also manufacture Mini Banks, whereas cash deposit, cash withdrawal, cheque deposit, can do in the same machine.”

“We have designed and developed an innovative solution for scarcity of coins in circulation. KAD school bank kiosk accepts notes and coins. School students can collect coins idle at home and deposit to their bank account using school bank kiosk. It helps to take back coins to circulation, which will save a large amount of money for the Government spent to mint coins and also help general public with more coins in circulation. It also teaches saving habit to children and builds more savings for children and for the country.”

Note to coin exchange machine can he used to insert currency notes and get equivalent amount in coins. This machine helps the general public to get required coins.

Foreign currency exchange machine accepts foreign currency and issue Sri Lankan rupee notes. It also eliminates malpractices, theft and different types of abuse in foreign currency exchange process.

“KAD VTM (Virtual Teller Machine) is a fully automated self service bank branch, which can do almost all banking works in this machine, aided by video calls. We have now introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) to this machine to do banking, which is latest technology in the world today.
