Special loan facilities for the season from People’s Bank

People’s Bank has introduced a special one-day loan scheme in lieu of the upcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year season. The loan scheme, which is specifically for confirmed employees of the government and private sector, allows applicants to obtain up to Rs. 100,000 with just one guarantor. The loan can be obtained on a 12-month instalment plan, with the monthly instalment amounting to Rs. 9,025 only. This special scheme is available only until 30 April 2014, and can be obtained by producing the last month’s salary slip at any People’s Bank branch.
