Ruwan joins Herayamila Securities as Head of Research

Herayamila Securities Ltd. (HSL) announced yesterday the appointment of Ruwan Keino Wickrema as Head of Research, to further strengthen its research operations.

HSL has been operational for over a year in Sri Lanka and is a subsidiary of Heraymila Investments Ltd. (HIL) UAE. HIL directly manages over 285 million dollars of private and public investments on behalf of Abdulaziz Al Mashal family office.

Wickrema brings with him over a decade of experience in the US financial sector. Prior to joining Herayamila Securities, he held the post of Investment Analyst at Vanguard Inc., Pennsylvania, U.S.A., one of the world’s largest investment management companies. Wickrema’s, extensive experience in international fixed income and his understanding of capital market transactions and their concomitant compliance procedures will enhance and add value to research on Sri Lankan capital markets. At Vanguard, Wickrema was also involved in the analysis of domestic and offshore U.S. mutual funds and their fund valuations.

Wickrema attained his BSc honors in Economics from Washington College, Maryland and holds a Master of Business Administration in Global Management (MBA) from The University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Information Science (MSIS) from The Pennsylvania State University in the USA. He had his primary and secondary education at St. Thomas’ preparatory School, and secondary education at S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia.
