People’s Bank branches island-wide to celebrate ‘Ganu Denu’ on 15 April

People’s Bank has continued its cherished tradition of celebrating the Sinhala and Tami New Year festivities since 1973 with the traditional ‘Ganu Denu’ with its customers.

The bank’s entire branch network will open on 15 April from 8:30 a.m. onwards for traditional ‘Ganu Denu’ transactions this year.

On that day, deposits will be accepted from new and existing customers. Customers who deposit Rs. 5,000 and above will receive a dual purpose rechargeable table lamp and torch courtesy of People’s Bank.

All customers and the general public who visit People Bank branches and service centres to participate in the traditional ‘Ganu Denu’ and to make deposits will receive a token gift. They will also be invited to partake of a meal of Avurudu sweetmeats and kiribath.
