Orient Capital appoints two new Directors to its Board

Indrani Goonesekera and James Mathews joined the Board of Directors of Orient Capital Limited as Non Executive Directors. Orient Capital is a steady growing capital market services company and the new appointments will strengthen the company’s growth momentum.

Goonesekera is a Legal Consultant with experience in the banking and commercial sectors. Formerly she held the positions of Deputy General Manager (Legal) and Head of Legal at Hatton National Bank PLC (HNB) and was a member of the bank’s Corporate Management for over 15 years. She was also the Board Secretary of HNB and its group of companies. She is a qualified Attorney-at-Law.

Mathews joins Orient with over 30 years experience in a variety of sectors including Information Technology, manufacturing and human resources management. He has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Kotmale Dairy Products and worked for over 10 years at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. He is currently the Managing Director of Mahaweli Feed Mills (Pvt) Limited. Mathews holds a Bachelors degree in Economics, a MBA with a specialisation in Information Technology and a post-graduate diploma in Personnel Management.
