The appointment has been approved by the Central Bank by its letter dated 05.05.2013. Suraweera is a senior banker with 20 years experience in general banking and leasing prior to joining NIFL he has worked for HNB where he has gathered experience in branch banking, credit and leasing. He is a Chartered Marketer of Institute of Chartered Marketing (CIM-UK), Associate of Institute of Credit Management (AICM) and also holds a MBA from University of Southern Queensland (MBA-USQ).
