MCSL Financial Services celebrates 30 years of excellence with mega auto fair

MCSL Financial Services Ltd., which commenced operations in 1982, will be completing 30 years in unparalleled service to the finance sector in Sri Lanka. To commemorate this milestone in grand fashion, the company will be having a mega auto-fair at Rajagiriya Municipal Ground this festive season. The fair will be held from 13 to 15 December at the Rajagiriya Municipal Ground (adjoining Welikada Police Station), starting from 9 a.m. and will continue up to till 6 p.m. during the three-day period. With many activities planned, company officials are hopeful that the event will attract large crowds of people. The event will primarily focus on exhibition and sale of vehicles where it will feature brand-new, re-conditioned as well as used vehicles of all makes which will be on display from 13 December onwards. Trade stalls including electronic, foot wear, garments, food stalls, gift items and seasonal decorations will be part of the event to keep the whole family entertained. Several eminent auto agents as well as auto dealers will display brand new, un-registered as well as registered vehicles. The fair will also feature a range of automobile support services including radiator check up, battery status check up, RMV Special Information Centre, specialised automobile products, lubricants, security systems, 4-wheel and off-road accessories, etc. The event’s highlight would be the auction on the final day where close to 40 vehicles will be on display covering a wide range of cars, vans, cabs, SUVs and bikes, etc. The auction proceedings are set to commence at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday 15 December and all are encouraged to book seats at their earliest. To ensure customer convenience, MCSL will offer special service for prospective customers at the fair to assess their document needs, credit evolution, etc., to help them secure their dream vehicle at this fair while special financing packages will be on offer for a selected range of vehicles. This is the first time an event of such magnitude has been organised by MCSL Financial Services, which recently merged with Ceylease Ltd., the financial arm of the local banking giant Bank of Ceylon. MCSL Financial Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka (MBSL) and Bank of Ceylon (BOC), is a very prominent and stable financial entity in Sri Lanka today. MCSL’s range of financial products includes financial leasing, hire purchase, term-loans, fixed deposits, pawning and real estate. The company under the new leadership and vision of Duleep Daluwatte, an eminent financial industry veteran in his own right, is set to introduce several key new products to company’s  portfolio of products, some of which are already in the pipeline, namely Islamic financing, savings, factoring and micro-financing. The company is gearing up to meet growing industry challenges and stay competitive by enhancing the level of customer choice and service. The company currently has 17 branches which also includes window offices and stand-alone pawning centres and is set to expand its branch footprint by introducing more branches in commercially viable cities by next year.
