Janashakthi Insurance PLC, which has one of the widest insurance distribution networks in Sri Lanka, recently opened a new branch in Dehiwala and upgraded three branches (Galle, Nittambuwa and Kadawatha) to provide superior service to its customers.
The insurable general public and other commercial establishments in these four cities and surrounding areas will now have an even easier access to a wide array of financial protection plans both in General and Life insurance, including its flagship products Janashakthi Full Option and Janashakthi Life Unlimited.
“Our branch network is spread right throughout the island because we want to reach out to all our citizens as much as possible wherever they are. We are constantly improving in order to offer the best services and facilities to our loyal customers in all segments of society; and in doing this we hope to inspire confidence in our customers. For some time, we have also been integrating our business processes for swifter and more efficient service,” said Sandun Gunasekera – Head of Branch Operations at Janashakthi Insurance
All Janashakthi branches are fully IT integrated and linked, thereby providing all its customers the flexibility of carrying out transactions related to their insurance policies from any Janashakthi branch of their convenience. Last year, Janashakthi Insurance enabled individual branches to conduct their operational activities completely independently, powered by a fully integrated IT platform which is monitored by Head Office to optimise transparency. The innovative IT platform is user-friendly and allows customers and employees to gather information accurately.
At present, Janashakthi Insurance’s branch network extends to 112 branches.
Janashakthi Insurance recently garnered a RAM ratings upgrading to A in terms of long term claim payments. The upgrade was partly due to the company’s impressive payout record, with the company honouring an impressive Rs. 4.449 billion in claims in both life and non life segments during the last financial year 2013.
Janashakthi’s stellar performance has already received recognition, with the company receiving a coveted Gold medal at the National Business Excellence Awards 2013. This tops up many other accolades for its commitment to innovation through cutting-edge technology, as well as its employees through targeted training and development schemes.
