Janashakthi appoints two new Directors

Janashakthi Ltd. has announced the appointment of Eardley Perera and Mohan Dias as Independent Non-Executive Directors of the company with effect from 5 February. Perera is the Non-Executive Chairman of M&E Ltd., and Non Executive Director of Dunamis Capital Plc, First Capital Holdings Plc, Keells Food Products Plc, Janashakthi Insurance Plc, United Motors Plc, Sting Consultants Ltd., Brand Finance Lanka Ltd., and MAS Tropical Foods Ltd. Perera is a Chartered Marketer and a Graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK with over 40 years of experience in management. He has undergone management training in UK, Sweden, South Korea, India, the Philippines and Singapore. He is also a member of the Board of Study of the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura (PIM) and is actively engaged in management education and consultancy. Mohan Dias has over 35 years of experience in the private sector and holding a senior manager position for the past 17 years. Currently he is the General Manager of Mahaweli Feed Mills Ltd. since August 2006. With the latest appointments, the Board of Janashakthi Ltd. comprises R. Schaffter (CEO/Director), C.T.A. Schaffter, P.A. Schaffter, A.D.E.O. Perera and M.M.A.M. Dias.
