Insurance regulator meets industry

The Insurance Board of Sri Lanka (IBSL), the regulator of the insurance industry, met the CEOs of Insurance Companies on 22 March 2011 at the IBSL Secretariat. Indrani Sugathadasa, the Chairperson of IBSL, chaired the meeting.

Matters of mutual interest and market related issues including new amendments to the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act with specific emphasis on effective regulation and development of the industry were discussed at the meeting. This forum gave an opportunity to exchange views among insurers and the regulator.
