Hiran quits Trade Finance and Investment Board

Trade Finance and Investment Ltd. announced yesterday that Hiran Cooray had resigned from its Board of Directors with effect from 21 December 2011.

He resigned in order to comply with a directive on corporate governance issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka which stipulates that a director of finance of a company shall not hold office as director in more than 20 companies/societies/bodies corporate, including associate companies and subsidiaries of the finance company.
